Birthday Cards for Men

OK – probably a bit of a cliché – when making a card for a man …… reach for the kraft card!

Oh well!, who am I to break with tradition?

This card makes use of the Justrite stamp – Vintage Collage Map Background.

Stamping with Vintage Photo Distress Ink directly onto kraft card gave a lovely vintage distressed look (strangely enough) to the image – rather like an old map.

A single matt of a warm gold mirror card separated the kraft card topper from an offset band of kraft card into which I had cut the greeting, ‘Happy Birthday’, using the Tattered Lace Vertical Sentiment die which came with issue 16 of their magazine.

The ‘waste’ from the sentiments can also be used to produce words – so you really do get 2-in-1 with these dies.

The card blank was off-white with a surface texture like watercolour paper.
